GWM Capital Ltd. partnered with AIFC Connect: Abu Dhabi 2025, bringing together more than 150 leaders from investment, technology, and regulatory institutions across the MENA region and Central Asia to advance cross-border financial cooperation.

Discussions highlighted the deepening financial and technological ties between Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates, with a focus on mining investment, fintech innovation, and capital markets integration.

In the junior mining and investment track, GWM Capital’s Founder & CEO Arman Batayev, ACCA, presented the Future Minerals Junior Mining Fund — the region’s first Shariah-compliant private equity vehicle dedicated to early-stage exploration and critical minerals.

The fintech and digital assets discussions emphasized regulatory alignment between Kazakhstan and the UAE, including progress in tokenization and custodial services. The regulatory framework of the Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) was recognized as one of the region’s most balanced and innovation-driven approaches.

Within capital markets, the Astana International Exchange (AIX) highlighted its expanding cooperation with Nasdaq Dubai and Tabadul, the successful listing of its first dirham-denominated bond, and preparations for upcoming ETF listings via Tabadul.

Overall, the forum reinforced Kazakhstan’s rapid evolution into an investable jurisdiction for global capital, with the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) emerging as a key gateway between Central Asia and the Gulf. GWM Capital is proud to support this momentum and contribute to building durable Kazakhstan–UAE investment partnerships.
