Astana Finance Days 2025: Panel on Mining Finance in Focus
Astana Finance Days 2025 brought together leading voices in the mining and finance sectors to explore the future of capital raising in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Our Chairman of the Board, Dr. Kanat Kudaibergen, joined the panel “Developments and Outlook for Mining Finance in Kazakhstan and the Role of AIFC”, alongside Aida Alzhanova, Deputy CEO of Solidcore Resources plc, and Temirlan Mukhanbetzhanov, Board Member of the AIFC Authority.
Dr. Kudaibergen shared his perspective on how Kazakhstan can attract new capital for mining, highlighting financing trends, regulatory changes, and the enabling role of the AIFC in facilitating cross-border investment. The discussion also examined innovative financing tools such as royalties, streaming, and private credit, as well as strategies to strengthen investor confidence in a fast-changing market.
