GWM Capital Ltd. was pleased to contribute to the conference “Mineral Raw Material Potential in Central Asia”, held in Berlin, where industry leaders gathered to discuss the region’s growing strategic importance in global mineral supply chains.
GWM Capital was represented by Serik Myrza Akhmet, Investment Adviser, who participated as a speaker in the session “Junior Mining Perspectives in Central Asia.” His remarks focused on the increasing relevance of early-stage exploration projects amid rising global demand for critical minerals.
During the discussion, Serik Myrza Akhmet outlined GWM Capital’s approach to junior mining investment through the Future Minerals Junior Mining Fund, highlighting how professionally structured private equity vehicles can support exploration-stage assets across Kazakhstan and Central Asia. He also emphasized the structural advantages offered by Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), particularly its transparent regulatory framework and alignment with international investor standards.
The session further addressed the importance of regulatory clarity and governance in unlocking sustainable, long-term capital flows into the mining sector, especially as Europe and global markets seek diversified and reliable sources of critical raw materials.
GWM Capital extends its thanks to the organizers — German Federation of International Mining and Mineral Resources (FAB) and DERA — for facilitating a high-quality dialogue. The firm looks forward to strengthening cooperation with partners across Europe and Central Asia as interest in junior mining and critical minerals continues to grow.
